Scouting
World Crest. This patch is worn by Scouts throughout the world
including all in the Boy Scouts of America. |
|
|
Bobcat
Badge. This is the first award earned by Cub Scouts (after Tiger Cubs)
regardless of when they entered Cub Scouting. |
|
|
Wolf
Badge. This award is earned during the second grade year. |
|
|
Bear
Badge. This award is earned during the 3rd grade year. |
|
|
Webelos
Badge. This award is normally earned during the first year of Webelos
(4th grade). The major part of the requirement is the completion of 4
Activity Pins, which are part of the Webelos program and similar to Boy
Scout Merit Badges. |
|
|
Compass
Point Emblem. This award is earned after the Webelos Badge (normally
in the 5th grade year) for achievement in the earning of additional
Activity Pins. Arrow Points are pinned to the patch for completing
successfully higher numbers of Activity Pins. |
|
|
Arrow
of Light. The highest award earned in Cub Scouting. It is the only
award that may later be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. |
|
|
Service
Stars are earned by Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Adult Leaders,
and Employees of the Boy Scouts of America. The numeral tells the years of
service, and the color backing tells in which groups of BSA it was earned.
Tiger Cubs are Orange, Cub Scouts are Blue, and Leaders are Yellow. |

The
recruiter stripe is awarded for bringing a member into scouting. |
|
|
The
Tiger Cub Strip is worn by Cub Scouts who are formally Tiger Cub
Scouts. |
|
|
Members
of the Atlanta Area Council wear this patch. Pack 450, Den 7, is in
the North Fulton District of the Atlanta Area Council. There are about 10
Districts. |

|
Red
Numerals show the Pack Number within a Council. |
|
|
There
are many awards, including adult leader awards, that show a square
knot in various colors. This particular knot is for completing religious
training. Usually it takes at least two years to earn one of these knots.
There is one for each adult leader position in Cub Scouting and many more
to be earned at all levels of scouting. |

Cub
Scout Den Leaders wear these patches. All adult leaders in scouting
wear a similar patch showing their role. |
|
|
Adult
Leaders who have completed District Training wear this patch. The
training is very detailed and takes between 5 and 8 hours. |
